Lockdown Karate

Dear Parents and Karateka,

Following the national lockdown announcement last weekend I can confirm that we will have to temporarily close our Crouching Tiger Karate venues. There will be no classes in any of our venues this week (apart from our adult class tonight which is still on).

We are hopeful that on 2nd December we will be able to reopen them again for the last two weeks of term.

We encourage all our members to keep up with their training during the lockdown. Exercise is vital for our physical and mental well-being. Everyone has been making such great progress that it would be a great shame to lose that momentum!

We have a very exciting online class timetable and we will be adding to our library of YouTube videos.

Green Stripes and below will have classes on Monday and Thursday at 5pm as well as Saturday morning at 10:00am.

Purple Belts and above will have classes on Tuesday and Friday at 6pm as well as Saturday morning at 11:00am.

There is also a fun Tiger Cubs Karate class on Wednesday at 5pm for our younger members.

Our online classes will start on Tuesday 3rd November.

We will have a minimum of 3 instructors in every class and we will operate breakout rooms in small groups so that each student receives individual attention and appropriate content for their age and grade.

The Zoom log in details were sent to all current members by email.

If you have already paid for a term of classes then you will be entitled to attend as many online classes as you wish (up to 3 classes a week).

If you have paid the term fees for 2 x classes per week then I will reduce your next term fee proportionally.

If you definitely do not want to take part in the online classes and would prefer to freeze your membership then please email me and we can arrange to reduce your next term fee proportionally.

We are looking forward to providing high quality and engaging online classes that will keep our Karate community together once again through these trying times.

I am sure that we will be back in our venues again soon and our usual timetable will resume as soon as we get the green light from The Government. I am confident that they will prioritise a return for classes like ours which are health-enhancing and are being run safely and responsibly.
